Has it really been FOUR months?

Wow, I stink at this whole blogging thing. Since I've talked to you last I've turned 26, celebrated the holidays with family, started school, and began planning a soon-to-be FIVE year old's Star Wars themed birthday party. I'm also having lots of fun dealing with a little boy with pneumonia and generally going a little insane. Not much crafting has gotten done other than Christmas (I forgot to take pictures) and a few birthdays. I'm hoping to get a few things done before the Poppet's birthday party to get the house up to par and so she has, you know, a gift. I've also signed up for the 2010 Knitting Olympics through Yarn Harlot, which basically means I'm actually going to get off of my butt and knit a little again. I chose the Capitan Hat by Rosi Garmendia. It's not supposed to be a difficult pattern, but with everything going on I don't really get much (read: any) knitting time in lately. The last thing I got off of the needles was a scarf for the Poppet for school, in October or November.

(Small diversion--the Balach came to sit down next to me and informed me proudly that his right foot is named 'Mama' and his left, 'Papa'.)

I'm taking four classes at university with a full time schedule. It's taken some getting used to and I'm still not quite where I want to be, but I'm working on it. I'm really grateful that G-- is home nights to take care of dinner and such because when I get home on Mondays and Wednesdays it's after 6:00, and when he gets home after 4:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays I have to leave immediately for the dog park. (See The Mad Menagerie, a crazy money-making idea that I had, which at least pays for dog and cat food.) I'm also looking forward to the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on Monday and Tuesday. Maybe I can get a little knitting in there while Muggle and I watch. Anyway, enough about me! Oh, wait! This is my blog--it's ALL about me!!

Oh! The pants! I made Christmas pants for all and sundry for Christmas Eve. All and sundry being the kids, G-- and I:

Anyway, tired...must bake, launder, and wrangle. See you all later!
